-Today we take a look at Breaking Point 2009 from the WWE.

-Breaking Point 2009 was shown on PPV on September 13, 2009 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There were 12,000 in attendance and the show did 169,000 buys.

-Intro. Michael Cole welcomes us to Breaking Point. He and Jerry Lawler will call the Raw matches while JR and Todd Grisham will call the Smackdown Matches and Josh Matthews and Matt Striker will call the ECW match.

-Unified Tag Team Championship Match. Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs. MVP and Mark Henry: Jericho and TBS out first. MVP and Henry get their own entrances, and they get a great reaction. The bell rings. Jericho and MVP start. They circle each other. Jericho avoids a spin kick and bails out to the floor. He gets back in. They lock up and drive to a corner and break. He gets a suplex for a one count. He dominates Jericho. Jericho comes back and slaps MVP. Back and forth. MVP with a neck breaker for a two count. Henry tagged in, and Jericho scrambles and tags TBS in. They stare at each other. They finally lock up. They push off. TBS with several shots. He goes to splash Henry, who catches TBS and slams him in the corner. He slams TBS again. He goes to slam TBS a third time, but Jericho hits Henry, and TBS falls on Henry for a two count. Jericho and TBS double team Henry. Henry tries to come back. Jericho gets him in the corner. TBS tagged in, and he and Henry clotheslined each other. Jericho and MVP tagged in. MVP unloads on Jericho. He hits the Ballin' elbow for a two count. MVP counters the Walls of Jericho. Irish whip to Jericho. He tags in TBS, who hits MVP with a brutal looking spear. He gets MVP in a front face lock. He beats MVP down, and Jericho tagged in. Jericho with a rear chin lock. MVP fights back. He gets a two count. He follows it up with a clothesline. Jericho cuts off a tag attempt. He beats MVP down in the corner. MVP counters a hip toss into a DDT. Henry tagged in. He catches and press slams Jericho. All four in. TBS and MVP go outside. Henry gets a two count when Jericho gets his feet on the ropes. Henry counters the Code Breaker, and throws Jericho over his head. TBS hits Henry with a knockout blow. Jericho gets the pin.

-Josh Matthews talks to Legacy. Cody Rhodes says this is a fight, not a match coming up. Ted DiBiase says that DX represents the past, Legacy represents the future of WWE.

-United States Championship Match. Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz: Miz out first, and talks to the crowd in French. Kingston out to a great ovation. The bell rings, and they vie for position. Drive to a corner and break. Another drive to the corner and break. Miz with a side headlock. Kingston pushes off, and Miz comes back with a shoulder block. Back and forth. Kingston with a knee for a two count. Miz with a snap suplex. Kingston with a crossbody. Miz avoids a shot, but Kingston hits a dropkick. Miz comes back and gets a one count. He gets a big boot and a two count. He hits a running boot for another two count. They trade blows. Miz hits a flapjack for a two count. They battle for position, and Miz spills to the outside. Kingston goes out to the apron, and Miz sweeps his legs and Kingston spills out to the floor. Miz throws Kingston back in, and gets a two count. He gets several two counts. Miz beats Kingston down in the corner. He hits a corner clothesline. He hits a top rope double ax handle for a two count. Miz keeps the attack up. Kingston comes back with a drop toe hold. Miz kicks Kingston. They trade kicks. Back and forth. Kingston with a slam for a two count. Miz comes back with a backbreaker for a two count. Kingston with a clothesline. Kingston with a boom drop that Miz counters by getting his knees up and gets a two count. They trade covers. Kingston with a Russian leg sweep and the boom drop for a two count. Miz rolls through a crossbody for a two count. Kingston hits Trouble in Paradise to get the pin.

-Flashback to what led to the next match. Submissions count anywhere. Degeneration X Shawn Michaels and HHH vs. Legacy Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes: DX out first to a massive ovation. Their entrance takes forever. HHH gets on the mic and does the are you ready spiel. A you screwed Bret chant goes out. HHH says that's all Shawn's fault. Legacy out to a chorus of boos. DX attacks as soon as Legacy get in the ring. All four go at it. Michaels with a flying forearm to Rhodes. HHH hits DiBiase with a knee. Michaels then clips DiBiase's leg. They then clip Rhodes's leg. They all go outside. HHH sends DiBiase into the announce table. Michaels and Rhodes go out into the crowd. He runs him into a barricade. All four brawling in the crowd. They battle up the steps. Michaels had DiBiase in a front face lock on the steps. HHH and Rhodes brawl into the concession area. All four meet up again. DX get figure fours on Legacy. They battle back to the arena. Rhodes beats Michaels on the stairs. All four fight down the steps. DX has submission holds locked in. The make their way back to ringside. HHH hits Rhodes with a chair. He puts Rhodes in a chair and he and Michaels do a combo camel clutch/Boston Crab on Rhodes. DiBiase comes in and blasts Michaels. He then attacks HHH. He runs HHH into some ring steps. DiBiase beats HHH down in the ring. HHH comes back with a spinebuster. HHH puts the crossface on. Rhodes breaks it up. Rhodes throws Michaels out, but he skins the cat and headscissors Rhodes out. DiBiase pushes Michaels out, and Rhodes hits a modified over the shoulder backbreaker submission. HHH makes the save. Rhodes ran into the ring steps. HHH does the suck it gesture, and attacks DiBiase in the ring. Michaels and Rhodes battle back by the equipment area. They battle up in the stands. Rhodes pushes Michaels off the stands. A referee screams for help for Michaels. HHH over to check on Michaels. Legacy attacks HHH. HHH goes for a Pedigree on Rhodes, and DiBiase breaks it up. HHH battles Legacy on the ramp. Rhodes and HHH battle to the back. DiBiase comes back, and its two on one in the back. DiBiase puts on the Million Dollar Dream. HHH battles out and gets slammed on a table. They battle back to catering. HHH knocked down, and Rhodes hits him with a chair. Michaels comes back, and he and Legacy fight back to the ramp. They run Michaels into the ring. They attack him in the center of the ring. Michaels tries to fight back. Rhodes hits Michaels and puts an ankle lock on. Michaels somehow fights his way out. He throws DiBiase out, and hits Sweet Chin Music on Rhodes. Michaels gets the figure four on Rhodes. Rhodes fights it. DiBiase makes the save. Michaels tries to fight both men off. He gets Rhodes out. He hits DiBiase, but Rhodes crotches Michaels on the corner post and beats Michaels down. He puts Michaels in a figure four around the ring post. DiBiase puts the Million Dollar Dream on Michaels as well. HHH tries to get to Michaels, but he taps out to the duel submissions. DX down on the floor while Legacy celebrates.

-Randy Orton is shown in the back. Josh Matthews tries to talk to him about Legacy's win. Orton tells him to have a seat. He says he knew Legacy was going to win. Orton then berates Matthews and says he's just like John Cena. Orton says he will make Cena say I Quit. Orton then intimidates Matthews.

-Singapore Cane Match. Kane vs. The Great Khali with Ranjin Singh: Jim Ross and Todd Grisham preview the match. Kane out first. Khali and Singh out to a good reaction. The bell rings, and Kane attacks immediately. He goes for a cane, but Khali attacks Kane. They each get a cane. Like this isn't already confusing. They fight with the canes. It goes outside, and Kane beats Khali down with the cane. He continues the beating in the ring. Kane hits a low dropkick. Kane uses the cane in an arm bar. Khali gets the cane and beats down Kane. He runs Kane down. He chops Kane and gets a two count. He gets the vice grip on Kane. Kane grabs the cane and hits Khali to break the hold. Kane hits a top rope cane shot for a two count. Kane goes for a choke slam, and Singh hits him from behind with a cane. Kane goes after Singh and Khali hits him with another chop. Khali checks on Singh. Kane with a cane shot. Kane hits a choke slam to get the pin. Singh checks on Khali after the match.

-Eve talks to CM Punk He says nobody gives him a chance against the Undertaker. He says he got rid of Jeff Hardy. He lives a clean life. The power of a straight-edge lifestyle can defeat anything. The lights go off. It was just Jimmy Wang Yang playing a joke, but Punk didn't like it and beat Yang up. He then says the Undertaker should be worried about him.

-Matt Striker and Josh Matthews preview the ECW Championship Match. Christian vs. William Regal with Vladimir Koslov and Ezekiel Jackson: Christian out first despite being the champion. Regal and company come out looking very confident. They announce that Koslov and Jackson are banned from ringside. Regal looks pissed. The crowd chants Hey Hey Hey Goodbye to them as they leave. The bell rings, and they vie for position. Christian goes for the Kill Switch, but Regal pushes off. Christian with a hammerlock. Back and forth. Christian with a dropkick for a two count. Christian with a crossbody for a two count. Christian slaps Regal. Regal comes back and pushes Christian off the top rope to the outside. Regal follows up with a barrage of offense. He gets Christian down on the mat. Christian breaks out. They trade moves and counters. Regal with an exploder suplex to Christian. He follows it up with a modified surfboard. Christian breaks out. Regal counters a springboard sunset flip with a knee to the face. Regal gets a two count. He gets a two count off of a modified Regal plex. Into a submission hold. Regal attacks Christian in a corner. Christian hits a tornado DDT for a two count. Regal follows it with a forearm shot for a two count. Regal with a Regal plex for a close two count. They trade shots. Christian gets a two count. He goes up top, but Regal rolls out of the way and hits a rolling senton for a two count. Regal avoids a Kill Switch and pushes Christian away. Christian comes back and hits the Kill Switch to get the pin.

-John Cena is shown in the back. Pat Patterson is brought out to a great reception. JR gives us some Montreal Wrestling History. Patterson talks to the crows in French, and they love it. He gets cut off by Dolph Ziggler's music. The crowd boos Ziggler. Patterson says no one asks about Ziggler. Ziggler gets the mic. He calls Patterson a senior citizen. He continues to put Patterson down. He calls him a coward and attacks Patterson. John Morrison comes out and Ziggler bails. Morrison checks on Patterson.

-Flashback to what led to the next match. I Quit match for the WWE Championship. Randy Orton vs. John Cena: Orton out first and he takes his time getting to the ring. Cena comes out to a massive ovation. The introductions are made and the belt is presented. The bell rings, and they circle each other. They stare at each other. They lock up, and Cena with a flurry of offense. He hits a fisherman's suplex. Orton reverses an Irish whip and drops down when Cena goes for a shoulder block. Orton with a block to Cena on the apron, sending Cena into the announce table. Orton takes the Smackdown table apart and hits Cena with a TV monitor. Orton hits a draping DDT after having referee Mike Chioda ask Cena if he gives up. Dueling chants go out as Orton sets a chair up in the ring, and goes for the RKO. Cena pushes off, and hits a shoulder block and a slam. U Can't See Me. 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He goes for the AA, but Orton grabs the ropes and guillotines Cena on them. Cena avoids a punt, and goes for the STF, but Orton kicks Cena off. It goes outside, and Cena ran into the ring steps. Orton takes the steps apart, and hits Cena with them again. He lays Cena on the steps and stomps him and Cena will not give up. Orton stomps him again and still Cena will not give up. Orton throws Cena in and gets some handcuffs out of a black back. He puts a cuff around Cena and cuffs him to the ropes. He beats on Cena. Cena still will not give up. Orton hits Cena with the mic. He uncuffs Cena and cuffs his hands together and hangs Cena on a corner post. Orton punches Cena over and over. He throws water on Cena to make sure he doesn't pass out and Cena spits water on Orton. Orton gets the Singapore cane and hits Cena repeatedly. Cena still won't give up. Cena kicks Orton down low and gets off the post. Orton hits Cena with a chair to the head. Orton cuffs Cena to one of the bottom turnbuckles. He hits Cena with the chair again. Cena hesitates, but still won't give up. Orton misses a shot when Cena moves and hits the ring post with the chair. Cena backdrops Orton and grabs the keys to the cuffs. He cuffs himself to Orton. Orton tries to get away, but Cena unloads on Orton and runs him into the commentary tables. He brings Orton in and continues the beat down. Back and forth and Orton hits an RKO. Orton tries to drag himself and Cena towards the key to the cuffs. Cena gets the STF on with the cuffs and Orton says I Quit. Cena is the new champion. Chioda uncuffs both men. Cena raises the title high. He gets on the mic and says I did not quit. Orton holds his shoulder and stares at Cena as Orton makes his way up the ramp.

-JR and Todd talk about the Smackdown Main event. Flashback to what led to the match. Submission match for the World Heavyweight Championship. CM Punk vs. The Undertaker: Punk out first. It takes a while for Undertaker to come out, but the gong finally hits. The crowd is into Undertaker. He takes his time getting to the ring. The introductions are made and the belt is presented. The bell rings, and Punk rolls out. Back in, he sticks and moves. Undertaker finally gets Punk, and throws him out. Undertaker with a clothesline. Undertaker unloads on Punk. He beats Punk down in the corner. It goes out, and Undertaker keeps the attack up. He runs Punk into the barricade. Punk avoids a charge, and Undertaker crotches himself on the barricade. Punk takes advantage, and runs his knee into Undertaker. He hits Undertaker with a chair. Back in, Punk hits a running knee. Back and forth. Undertaker goes for Old School, but Punk takes his legs out on the top rope. They trade blows. Punk hits a superplex. Punk with a series of kicks. They trade blows again. Undertaker hits Snake Eyes and a big boot. He hits a leg drop. Punk counters a choke slam with a roundhouse kick. Undertaker gets Hell's Gate out of nowhere, and Punk quickly taps. Undertaker is the new champion. He raises the belt high. The crowd cheers. Teddy Long comes out and says that Vickie Guerrero banned Hell's Gate some time ago, and it remains banned. He orders the match to restart. Undertaker with a big boot. Punk fights out of a Last Ride attempt and clips Undertaker's leg. Punk puts on the Anaconda Vice, and immediately the bell rings, and referee Scott Armstrong gives Punk the belt, and he leaves. Punk and Armstrong run up the ramp. Long comes out, and they say Undertaker tapped. Very confusing as they sign off from Montreal. JR says Undertake didn't submit as Punk celebrates.

-Final Thoughts: An entertaining show with a confusing Main event.
