-Today we look at In Your House 3 from the WWF.
-IYH 3 was shown on PPV on September 24, 1995 from the Saginaw Civic Center in Saginaw, Michigan. There were 5,146 in attendance and the show did 160,000 buys.
-Intro. Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler, and Jim Ross welcome us to IYH. They run down the stipulations for the Main Event.
-Savio Vega vs. Waylon Mercy: Vega out first and greets the crowd and the SAT. Mercy's PPV debut. Mercy tries to blindside Vega, who avoids it. They trade moves. Vega with an arm bar. Mercy comes back with a clothesline. It goes outside and they chop each other. Mercy with the advantage. Mercy with a Stun Gun on Vega for a two count. He attacks Vega in the corner. Dok Hendrix reports that Owen Hart is not in the building. Mercy with a side slam for a two count. Mercy with a sleeper. Vega fighting it. Vega pushes forward into the turnbuckle to break the hold. Vega with a belly to back suplex. A double count is going. Vega hits a big boot. He hits a spinning heel kick for a two count. Vega with a series of near falls. Mercy hits a brain buster for a two count. Mercy is frustrated that he can't get the pin. Back and forth. Vega with another spinning heel kick to get the pin.
-Dok Hendrix shows Gorilla Monsoon arguing with Jim Cornette. Monsoon says the triple header match will go on.
-Sycho Sid with Ted DiBiase vs. Henry Godwin: They show Godwin slopping Sid to set the match up. The bell rings. Sid attacks Godwin. Godwin comes back. He clotheslines Sid to the outside. He suplexes Sid back in. Sid comes back with a running knee to knock Godwin to the outside. DiBiase kicks Godwin, and then Sid hits a double ax handle. He then hits a second one. Sid attacks Godwin's back. He beats Godwin down in the corner. Sid hits a running boot. Sid with a rear chin lock. Sid gets Godwin down. He continues to focus on injuring Godwin's back. Godwin moves on a corner charge and comes back. Godwin hits the Slop Drop. DiBiase pulls Godwin's leg, and Godwin goes after DiBiase. Sid attacks Godwin. They trade blows. DiBiase trips Godwin. Sid hits a leg drop. He follows it up with the powerbomb for the pin. DiBiase and Sid argue over who is going to slop Godwin. Bam Bam Bigelow comes down and attacks Sid. Kama comes out, and he and Sid attack Bigelow. DiBiase goes to slop Bigelow, but Godwin grabs the bucket and slops DiBiase.
-Gorilla Monsoon decrees that the match will go on and gives Cornette the opportunity to find another partner for Yokozuna.
-The British Bulldog vs. Bam Bam Bigelow: The bell rings and they circle each other. Bigelow with a shoulder block. Bigelow with another shoulder block and Bulldog rolls out to regroup. Bigelow with a hip toss. Bigelow with a scoop slam, but misses an elbow drop. Bulldog with a rear chin lock. Back and forth. Bulldog with a suplex. Bigelow with a series of clotheslines. Bulldog comes back and knocks Bigelow out of the ring by dropping down on a Bigelow charge. Bigelow reverses a suplex attempt, and dumps Bulldog on the top rope. A flying headbutt gets a two count for Bigelow. Bulldog clips Bigelow's knee. Bulldog drops an elbow on Bigelow's knee. Bulldog keeps up the attack on the leg. The crowd gets behind Bigelow. Bigelow fights back. He hits an enziguri. Bulldog redoubles his efforts on the knee. He gets a single crab on Bigelow. Bigelow breaks out and hits Bulldog. A knee to the midsection gets a two count for Bulldog. He goes to rear chin lock Bigelow, who fights back. He runs Bulldog into the corner. Back and forth. Bigelow sits down on Bulldog on a sunset flip attempt. Bigelow goes up top, but misses the moonsault. Bulldog covers for a two count. Bulldog gets a power slam to get the pin.
-WWF Superstar Line and WrestleMania the Special ads.
-Bob Backlund comes to the ring. He addresses the crowd as part of his running for president. It goes on way too long. He brings out Dean Douglas. They flashback to what has happened between Douglas and Razor Ramon. Dean Douglas vs. Razor Ramon: Ramon gets into the ring and attacks Douglas. Ramon clotheslines Douglas to the outside. They exchange holds and counters. Ramon gets a two count. Ramon hip tosses Douglas to the outside. Douglas with a wrist lock. Ramon reverses into a hammerlock. Douglas gets out and goes for a crossbody, but gets caught and Ramon hits a fall away slam for a two count. Douglas rolls out to regroup. Ramon brings Douglas back in by the arm. Ramon with an arm bar. He continues to work on the arm. They exchange two counts. Ramon goes back to the arm bar. Back and forth. Douglas throws Ramon to the outside. He follows and throws Ramon into the ring apron. Douglas with a high knee to run Ramon into the ring steps. He runs Ramon into the ring post. He throws Ramon in and hits a double ax handle for a two count. Douglas works on Ramon's back. He throws Ramon down by his hair for a two count. Douglas with a double arm back, and puts the knee in. Ramon is fighting the pain. Ramon reverses it. Douglas gets to the ropes. Douglas hits some corner whips. Douglas with a splash for a two count. Douglas with a modified rear chin lock. Ramon lifts up and falls back to break the hold. A double count is going. Douglas gets a two count. They trade blows. Ramon with a suplex for a two count. They trade moves. Douglas runs Ramon into referee Tim White. Douglas hits a flying forearm. Ramon comes back and hits the Razor's Edge as Backlund is trying to revive the referee. The 1-2-3 Kid comes down and counts the pin. Ramon gets up and sees that it was the Kid and not the referee that counted the pin. They shove each other. Ramon shoves the Kid out of the ring, allowing Douglas to get the roll up to win. Ramon throws the Kid in and they swipe at each other until agents break it up.
-IYH 4 ad.
-Dok Hendrix does an ad for Shawn Michaels Merchandise. He then talks to Michaels and Diesel. Michaels says he's frustrated about Owen Hart not being there, but they will win.
-They show a feature on Jean Pierre Lafitte stealing things from Bret Hart. Bret Hart vs. Jean Pierre Lafitte: Hart with a tremendous ovation when he comes out. He hits Lafitte with a tope. He beats on Lafitte on the outside. He throws Lafitte in and continues the beat down. Lafitte comes back and beats Hart down in the corner. He misses a corner charge when Hart moves. Hart gets a crucifix for at two count. Lafitte with a clothesline. He chokes Hart on the top rope. He stomps Hart's midsection. Hart with a roll up for a two count. Hart misses a corner charge when Lafitte moves. Lafitte then drives Hart into the ring steps again. Lafitte with a corner whip and gets a two count. Hart tosses Lafitte out, but he lands on his feet and throws Hart into the ring steps. Lafitte throws Hart back in. Hart comes back, but Lafitte hits a spinebuster. Lafitte with a side headlock. Hart gets out, but Lafitte hits a back elbow and a leg drop for a two count. Lafitte goes back to the headlock. Hart gets out. Back and forth. Lafitte with a top rope leg drop for a two count. He goes up top, but misses the cannonball. A double count is going. Hart goes into the five moves of doom, but Lafitte kicks off, and Hart is thrown outside. Lafitte misses a cannonball to the outside. Hart throws Lafitte into the ring steps. Hart then goes back into the five moves of doom. Hart gets a series of two counts. Lafitte gets his foot up on the elbow drop. Lafitte with a rolling slam to Hart. Hart falls on Lafitte for a two count. Lafitte with a two count with his feet on the ropes. Lafitte shoves Hart into a corner. Lafitte moves on a charge, and Hart winds up in the ropes. Double clothesline, and both men are down. Hart puts the Sharpshooter on and Lafitte gives up. Hart then gets his Jacket back.
-Dok Hendrix is with Camp Cornette. Jim Cornette announces that the British Bulldog will be the partner, and Gorilla Monsoon authorizes it. Alundra Blayze models the Triple Header shirt.
-Main Event. WWF World Tag Team Champions Yokozuna and The British Bulldog (subbing for Owen Hart) with Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette vs. WWF Champion Diesel and WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels: All three titles are on the line. The heels are out first. Michaels and Diesel get separate entrances. It takes a while to get started. Bulldog and Michaels start. Michaels with a side headlock. They exchange holds and counters. All four briefly enter, and the heels get knocked outside, where they regroup. Yoko tagged in. Michaels makes fun of Yoko. He challenges Yoko Sumo Style. Michaels hammers Yoko. Yoko knocks Michaels down. Diesel tagged in. Yoko clotheslines Diesel down. Diesel with a big boot to knock Yoko outside. Bulldog attacks Diesel while the referee is distracted. Bulldog tagged in and suplexes Diesel for a two count. Bulldog with a snap mare and a rear chin lock. Bulldog goes for a running power slam, but Diesel slides off and attacks Bulldog. Michaels tagged in. Diesel slams Bulldog down, and Michaels launches off Diesel's shoulders to hit a splash on Bulldog. He gets a two count. Bulldog comes back and dumps Michaels out. Bulldog attacks Michaels on the outside. Back in, Yoko with a corner whip. Michaels falls outside, and Bulldog attacks him again. Bulldog tagged in. Bulldog with a crossbody for a two count. Heels beat Michaels down in their corner. Yoko tagged in. He gets a nerve hold on Michaels. A USA chant goes out. Yoko with a headbutt. He misses a Banzai drop when Michaels moves. Bulldog and Diesel tagged in. Diesel hits a backdrop and Snake Eyes. He hits a side slam. All four men are in and the heels ran into each other. Diesel hits Bulldog with a big boot. Yoko hits a fall away slam. Bulldog power slams Diesel. Michaels makes the save. Owen Hart comes out and comes off the top rope. Diesel hits him in the midsection. Diesel hits the Jackknife and pins Owen. The Two Dudes with Attitude win the tag titles, but it won't last as it is determined that Hart wasn't in the match. They recap what happened and sign off from Saginaw with a video package.
-Final Thoughts: Not a bad show, but that was a bad ending to the Main Event.
