-Today we look at NXT Takeover: Respect from the WWE.
-NXT Takeover: Respect was shown on the WWE Network on October 7, 2015 from Full Sail University. There were over 400 in attendance. Rich Brennan, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton are the announcers for the event.
-WWE and Takeover Intros.
-Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Semi-final match. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe vs. Dash and Dawson: Before FTR was called the Revival. Joe starts against Dash, but he and Dawson have some great double team moves to get Joe down in their corner. Dawson tagged in. He keeps the assault up. Dash back in and Joe hits him with an enziguri. Dawson and Balor tagged in. Balor cleans house. Balor with a tope on Dash and Dawson on the outside. Dawson with a chop block to Balor. Dawson and Dash work on the injured knee of Balor. Dawson with a single grab on Balor. Balor gets to the ropes. Balor fights back. Dash pulls Joe off the apron to prevent the tag. He and Dawson then do the Demolition Decapitation to get a two count. Dawson keeps up the attack on Balor. Dawson ran into the turnbuckle. Dash prevents Balor from tagging, but he finally tags Joe in. Joe with a power slam for a two count. Joe puts Dash on the top rope and hits the Awesome Buster. Balor hits the Coup De Grace and gets the pin. Balor injures his knee even more.
-Sasha Banks is shown in the back, followed by a feature of the NXT on tour.
-Semi-final match. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. Rhyno and Baron Corbin: Corbin and Jordan start. Jordan with a takedown. Corbin slings Jordan to the outside. They trade shoulder blocks. Rhyno tagged in. Jordan with a slam. Gable tagged in and got a one count. They trade blows in the corner. Gable with a side headlock. Rhyno with a shoulder tackle for a two count. Back and forth. Jordan tagged in and worked on Rhyno's arm. Gable back in with an arm bar. Rhyno fights back, but Gable gets an arm bar on Rhyno through the ropes. Rhyno throws Gable to the outside, where Corbin attacks him. Corbin is in and gets a two count on Gable. Rhyno comes in and keeps up the attack on Gable. He beats Gable to the mat. Corbin tagged in. Corbin with a modified Cobra Clutch. Gable fights to get out. Corbin with a boot, but the referee is distracted by Jordan, so Corbin only gets a two count. Rhyno tagged in. He misses a top rope splash. Corbin and Jordan tagged in. Jordan cleans house. Jordan hits an Angle slam. He hits a corner Spear. Gable in, but Corbin reverses into the End of Days. Jordan makes the save, and now all four wrestlers are in. Gable with a roll through and a German suplex with a bridge, but Rhyno makes the save. Rhyno hits Jordan with the Gore. Corbin hits the End of Days on Gable to get the pin. Kevin Nash is then shown in the crowd.
-Dana Brooke with Emma vs. Asuka: A feature on Asuka. Brooke comes to the ring escorted by Emma. Asuka out to a great ovation. The bell rings, and they circle each other. They trade holds. Asuka with a hammerlock. Brooke out and makes fun of Asuka. She slaps Asuka, who smiles at Brooke. Asuka with a butt bump. Back and forth. Asuka hits an arm bar. Brooke gets to the ropes. It goes outside and Emma attacks Asuka. Brooke gets a two count. Brooke chokes Asuka in the corner. Brook with a leg scissors. Asuka turns it into a knee bar. Into an ankle lock German suplex. Asuka goes back to the arm bar. Brooke tries to get out, and Asuka gets a chicken wing on. Brooke comes back with a stomp to get out. Emma gets up on the apron. Asuka knocks her off. She knocks Brooke down. She gets the Asuka lock on and Brooke taps. Brooke tries to attack Asuka after the match, but Asuka takes her out. Susan G. Komen ad.
-They recap Finn Balor's injury and show a Nia Jax vignette.
-Tyler Breeze vs. Apollo Crews: They lock up and drive to the corner. Breeze with a side headlock. Crews comes back with a dropkick. It knocks Breeze outside. Crews throws him in and does a delayed vertical suplex for a two count. Breeze comes back and dumps Crews to the outside. He beats on Crews on the outside. He dumps Crews down and slams him on the apron. He gets a two count. Breeze with a corner whip for another two count. Breeze hits a Code Breaker for a two count. He goes up top, but gets caught. Crews goes for a slam, but Breeze slips out. Breeze gets the Sharpshooter on. Crews fights the pain and gets to the ropes to break. Crews with a clothesline. Breeze with shots to Crews' back. Breeze hits the back. Crews with an enziguri to Breeze. Breeze with a Supermodel kick for a two count. Breeze with another kick. Crews with a power slam for a two count. Crews with a Gorilla Press. He goes for a standing moonsault, but Breeze gets his knees up and gets a two count. Breeze with a series of flying forearms. Crews comes back with a kick and a powerbomb to get the pin. Funaki and Ideyo Hitami shown in the crowd. Bayley is shown in the back.
-They recap the Dusty Classic semi-final matches. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final. Baron Corbin and Rhyno vs. Samoa Joe and Finn Balor: Balor and Joe are the clear favorites here. The bell rings. Balor and Rhyno start. They circle each other. Balor with a takedown. They drive to a corner and break. Corbin tagged in. Corbin tries to go for the injured knee of Balor. Balor with a dropkick. Joe tagged in. He beats Corbin in the corner. He drops a knee on Corbin for a one count. Joe with a series of jabs. Corbin comes back and drops Joe for a two count. Rhyno tagged in. He works on Joe's back. Rhyno gets a one count. Rhyno with a rear chin lock. Rhyno chokes Joe on the top rope. Corbin tagged in and got a snap mare for a two count. Balor with a front face lock. He hits a corner clothesline and kicks for a two count. He beats Joe down. Joe comes back with an enziguri. Balor tagged in and cleans house. Corbin with a big boot. Balor with an enziguri. Rhyno takes out Balor's knee on the apron. Corbin runs the knee into the ring post. Corbin drops elbows on the leg. He splashes Balor in the corner. Back and forth. Corbin gets a two count. Corbin with a running punch. Balor comes back with a Sling Blade. Joe and Rhyno both tagged in. Joe with a senton and an STO to Rhyno. Rhyno with a Gore, but Balor makes the save. Corbin goes for the End of Days, but Balor hits a DDT. Rhyno takes Balor out. Joe with a kick. Balor tagged in. Muscle Buster by Joe to Rhyno. Balor hits the Coup De Grace to get the pin. The Rhodes Family comes out to present the trophy to Balor and Joe. Cody addresses the crowd about Dusty's legacy. They play Dusty's WWF theme as a thank you, Dusty chant goes out.
-Lita, Stephanie McMahon, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair are shown in the crowd. We get a feature on the history between Bayley and Sasha Banks. They then show both getting ready for the match.
-Main Event for the NXT Women's Championship 30 minute Iron Man Match. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks: Banks out first. Bayley out to a good reception. The introductions are made, and the belt is presented. The bell rings, and they stare at each other. The fans chant you deserve it. They lock up and vie for position. They break. Banks with a side headlock. She gets Bayley down to try and score a quick pin. Bayley with a shoulder block and she tries to score a pin. They each have moves and counters. Both get quick covers for two counts. Bayley kicked to a corner. Banks with an arm bar. Bayley reverses. Banks comes back with a headscissors. Banks with a top rope arm drag. They both avoid the others finisher. Bayley helps Banks to her feet and Banks throws Bayley down for a two count. Bayley with a flurry of offense to Banks. She throws Banks out. Bayley comes out and attacks Banks with kicks. Bayley hits a bulldog for a two count. Banks with a roll up using the ropes, but gets caught. Banks with a poke to the eyes to get the first pin. Banks keeps the assault up. Bayley runs Banks into a turnbuckle. Banks reverses. Banks puts Bayley on the ropes and goes for the double knees, but Bayley catches her and slams Banks into the turnbuckle. Bayley hits the Bayley to belly to get the pin They are tied. Bayley goes for a sliding kick, but Banks catches her and throws Bayley into the ring steps. Banks gets a two count. Bayley thrown back into the stairs. She gets another two count. Bayley thrown back outside, and she tweaks her knee. Banks throws Bayley into the LED board and then steals a bow from super fan Izzy and puts it on her own head. Bayley gets counted out and Banks is up 2-1. Bayley thrown in and Banks gets a two count. Banks stomps Bayley. Banks then berates Bayley. Banks hits a backbreaker. She follows it up with a Boston Crab, but Bayley gets to the ropes. Bayley gets a quick roll up to tie it back up at two falls apiece. Banks misses double knees again. Bayley comes back. She gets a modified Sling Blade for a two count. She hits a series of back elbows. She hits a flying back elbow to get a two count. Bayley with an elbow drop while Banks was in the Tree of Woe for a two count. Bayley gets Banks up top, but Banks slips out and gets double knees for a two count. Bayley put in the Tree of Woe. Bayley moves on a charge and Banks hits the corner post and falls outside. Bayley slams Bank's arm on the ring steps. Bayley gets a two count. Bayley keeps the attack up on the arm. Bayley moves the rings steps and launches onto Banks from them. Banks kicks Bayley into the steps. Banks launches herself onto Bayley, who catches Banks and hits the Bayley to belly. She gets Banks in and gets a two count. Bayley puts Banks on the top rope. Banks pushes Bayley off. Bayley comes back with a Bayley to belly and covers, but Banks gets her foot on the ropes. Bayley goes up top and hits a super reverse hurricanrana, but Banks lands on her feet and hits a Bayley to belly on Bayley for a two count. She puts the Bank Statement on. Bayley fights it. They struggle. Bayley gets out. Thirty seconds left. Bayley reverses another Bank Statement and puts Banks in a submission. Banks taps right before the bell, and Bayley wins. That was a hell of a match. The other wrestlers and personnel come out. Both women are given a standing ovation and flowers. HHH raises Bayley's hand. Both wrestlers are emotional. The crowd celebrates both wrestlers as they sign off from Full Sail.
-Final Thoughts: A great show capped off by a great Main Event.
