-Today, we look at In Your House 5 from the WWF.
-In Your House 5 was shown on PPV on December 17, 1995 from the Hershey Park Arena in Hershey, PA. There were 7,289 in attendance and the show did 84,000 buys.
-Intro. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us and talk about what we are going to see.
-The 1-2-3 Kid and Sid with Ted DiBiase vs. Marty Jannetty and Razor Ramon: Goldust is shown in the crowd watching the match. Kid and Jannetty start. Jannetty hits an enziguri. Kid backs off. They push each other Jannetty clotheslines the Kid for a two count. Jannetty with an atomic drop and Ramon tagged in. Kid tries to get away, and Ramon slaps him. Sid tagged in. Sid beats on Ramon. Kid tags in and continues the beat down of Ramon. Double team to Ramon. Sid tagged back in. Double clothesline, and both men are down. Kid and Jannetty tagged in. Jannetty drives Kid into the mat. Jannetty with a power slam for a two count. He gets a somersault bulldog for a two count. Todd Pettengill talks to Goldust. He is infatuated with Ramon. Jannetty with a side headlock takeover. Kid comes back with a dropkick. Jannetty beat down in the heels corner. Jannetty fights out, but gets slammed for a two count by Sid. Back and forth. Kid tagged in. Kid hits a splash for a two count. Kid hits a dropkick, and Sid hits a clothesline to Jannetty. Jannetty fights back, but Sid knocks him down again. Kid tagged in, and hit a snap mare. Heels quick tagging. Sid and Ramon tagged in. Ramon hits a fall away slam to the Kid, but Sid backdrops out of a Razor's Edge attempt. Sid misses a leg drop. Sid misses a corner charge when Ramon gets his leg up. Ramon hits a bulldog to get the pin. Sid saves Kid from getting the Razor's Edge.
-The Superstar line is shown. Jerry Lawler gets in the ring. He introduces Jeff Jarrett back to the WWF. He says he's still the greatest. Lawler presents Jarrett with a gold CD for With my Baby Tonight. He declares for the Royal Rumble. Dean Douglas comes out. He says he's not 100% and can't take on Ahmed Johnson. He brings out his graduate student, Buddy Landel. Buddy Landel vs. Ahmed Johnson: Landel attacks Johnson. It has no effect. Johnson slams Landel down and hits the Pearl River Plunge to Landel to pin him. Johnson then paddles Douglas. Lawler calls out Johnson. He puts Johnson down and makes fun of Johnson. Jarrett attacks Johnson from behind with the gold CD plaque. He then hits Johnson with a chair and kicks Johnson. Johnson takes off after Jarrett. They battle to the back.
-Todd Pettengill talks to Razor Ramon. He calls out Yokozuna, who will take on Ramon the next night on RAW. Pettengill then gives Ramon the letter that Goldust gave Pettengill for Ramon earlier. Ramon reads the letter and throws it away disgustedly.
-Hog Pen match. Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Henry O. Godwin: Hillbilly Jim is the special guest referee. Godwin goes to slop Helmsley. He gets some of the ring crew instead. Godwin with a backdrop. Helmsley rolls out to regroup. Godwin ties Helmsley up in the ropes. He smashes a handful of slop on Helmsley. Helmsley gets loose. Helmsley comes back with a swinging neck breaker. He drops a knee on Godwin. He hits a running high knee. Godwin runs Helmsley into the ring steps. They fight over to the hog pen. Helmsley ran into a barricade. Godwin was thrown into the pen gate. Godwin backdrops Helmsley over the pen, but he lands on the top and elbow drops Godwin. They fight back to the ring. Both men down. Godwin with a face first slam. Back and forth. Helmsley thrown outside. They fight back to the pen and Helmsley avoids the Slop Drop. Helmsley ran into the pen. Godwin hits the Slop Drop. Helmsley backdrops Godwin into the pen to win the match. Godwin press slams Helmsley into the pen and scoop slams him.
-Royal Rumble ad, followed by a feature on Diesel.
-Diesel vs. Owen Hart with Jim Cornette: Diesel attacks Hart right away. He hits a side slam. Hart with corner mounted punches, and Diesel just shoves Hart off and clotheslines Hart to the outside. Hart goes down the aisle, and Diesel follows. He brings Hart in and slams him down. Hart with a missile dropkick. He works on Diesel's knee. Back and forth. Hart with an enziguri for a two count. Hart with a standing toe hold, and Diesel shoves Hart off. Diesel hits a big boot. Diesel hits the Jackknife, but takes his foot off the cover. He shoves the referee to get disqualified and hits another Jackknife. He then leaves.
-Santa Claus and Savio Vega are shown giving out gifts. Ted DiBiase is in the ring and runs down the crowd. He then runs down Vega. Vega and Santa get in the ring. Vega puts DiBiase down. Santa then attacks Vega. They fight down the aisle. This was the debut of the short lived Xanta Claus.
-Feature on King Mabel and the Undertaker. Casket Match. The Undertaker with Paul Bearer vs. King Mabel with Sir Mo: Mabel out first. Undertaker gets a fantastic reception when he comes out. The bell rings, and Mabel attacks Undertaker right away. Undertaker fights back with throat thrusts. Undertaker with a running corner clothesline. Mabel with a sidewalk slam. Undertaker won't stay down. Mabel misses a splash. Undertaker with a throat thrust and a clothesline. Mabel with a belly to belly suplex. He splashes Undertaker. Mo drags Undertaker out and goes and dumps Undertaker into the casket. Mo goes and gives Mabel his crown. Undertaker stops the lid from being shut. Undertaker fights out. He beats on Mabel and hits a flying choke slam. He slams Mabel down. He knocks Mabel into the casket, but Mo attacks Undertaker with the chain made from Undertaker's urn. Undertaker choke slams Mo. He dumps Mo in the casket, grabs the urn chain, and slams the lid closed to win the match. He give Bearer the chain and indicates that he wants the WWF Championship.
-Jim Ross talks to Jim Cornette, the British Bulldog, and Diana Hart Smith. Cornette runs down Bret, Bulldog says he will be the champion, and Diana repeats words in a monotone voice. Todd Pettengill interviews Bret Hart. He says tonight, revenge will be his.
-WWF Championship Match. Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog with Jim Cornette and Diana Hart Smith: Bulldog and company out first. Hart out to a fantastic ovation. He does his sunglasses presentation. The belt is presented, and the bell rings. They circle each other. Bulldog pushes off. Another lock up. They trade moves and counters. Bulldog gets an arm bar on. Hart backs Bulldog to a corner. They break clean. Hart gets Bulldog down. Hart with an arm bar. Hart with an inverted atomic drop. Back and forth. Bulldog beats Hart down. Hart put in the Tree of Woe. Bulldog stomps Hart. Bulldog with forearms to Hart. Bulldog with a side headlock. He follows it up with a side slam. Bulldog slams Hart down. They say that the Undertaker will face the winner at the Royal Rumble. Bulldog with a rear chin lock. Hart gets to the ropes. Bulldog with a corner whip for a two count. Bulldog goes back to the side headlock. Back and forth. Hart with an inverted atomic drop and a bulldog for a two count. Hart with a piledriver. Hart with a side Russian leg sweep and a second rope elbow drop. Hart goes for the superplex, but Bulldog crotches Hart on the top rope. Hart falls to the outside. Bulldog beats Hart on the outside. He runs Hart into the ring post and barricade, and Hart is busted open. Bulldog headbutts Hart. Bulldog hits a piledriver for a two count. Bulldog with several two counts. Bulldog with a power press slam. He pounds on Hart and gets another two count. Bulldog with a bow and arrow. Hart almost reverses into a Sharpshooter. Bulldog slams into Hart, knocking Hart to the floor. Hart comes back in and gets a German suplex for a two count. Bulldog backdropped out of the ring. Hart hits a plancha to Bulldog. He jumps on Bulldog, who catches and power slams Hart. Bulldog rips up a mat and goes to suplex Hart, who blocks it and crotches Bulldog on the barricade before clotheslining Bulldog. Back in, Hart goes into the five moves of doom. Bulldog corner whipped hard. Hart hits a superplex for a two count. They trade roll ups for two counts. Back and forth. Hart with a roll up to get the pin. Diana can't believe it.
-Todd Pettengill talks to Paul Bearer and the Undertaker. They talk about Undertaker getting his world title match. Diesel comes in and says it's his title shot. He and Undertaker get face to face. They sign off with a highlight video.
-Final Thoughts: A nice cap off to 1995 and setting up 1996.
